Convening technology leaders to connect, educate, and reach back in our MN tech ecosystem!

Women Leading in Technology (WLiT) seeks to promote, educate and empower women in technology across Minnesota. Established in 2011 to provide networking opportunities for women in technology across industry, level and line of business, WLiT events are open to people of all genders interested in promoting, educating, empowering and advancing women in technology. Our mission to “Connect, Educate and Reach Back,” promotes community through networking and conversation, and a philosophy that “no one stands alone.”

The Women Leading in Technology community is driven by these key objectives:

  • Connect: Engaging, authentic networking is the cornerstone of each WLiT event. Attendees are welcoming, pulling newcomers into lively discussions and forging new relationships, career connections, partnerships and lasting friendships.
  • Educate: Quarterly programs showcase thought leadership in technology, business and professional development, with the goal of supporting career progression for our many, varied attendees. WLiT also partners with local non-profits to help bring up our next generation of women technology leaders and practitioners, as well as supporting women returning to the workplace.
  • Reach Back: We believe in “reaching back” to support our future technology leaders and practitioners, many of whom are students studying STEM disciplines. With the help of the Minnesota Technology Foundation, WLiT awards scholarships to underrepresented individuals who aspire to a career in STEM.  Funds raised in 2024 will create scholarship awards to off-set the cost of tuition for deserving individuals at The Software Guild, a local technology bootcamp. WLiT gratefully accepts your donations. Donations in any amount are much appreciated.  Donate through the Minnesota Technology Foundation’s GiveMN site here, allocated specifically for WLiT. If your company has a matching program, please send the match to the Minnesota Technology Foundation so it can be added to the scholarship fund.
  • SUPPORT THE MISSION OF WLiT:  Donate to the WLiT Scholarship Fund
