Nineteen years ago, the Minnesota Technology Association (then the Minnesota High Tech Association) convened the first class of ACE Leadership. This professional development program was created as a career catalyst for technology leaders in our community, helping prepare them for the leadership roles needed in our industry.
In the nearly two decades since, MnTech has continued to educate and prepare technology leaders through seminars with executive speakers, mentorship, and focused networking.

The ACE Leadership program emphasizes 360-degree leadership development, strengthening not only your ability to manage others, but your ability to communicate, network, brand yourself, and more. Over six months, ACE Leaders participate in interactive sessions that emphasize different leadership styles and build the core competencies of effective innovators.

Mentorship With Executives in Your Field
One of ACE Leadership’s distinguishing features is its executive mentorship component. These mentors serve as an important guide and sounding board for the participant’s growth as a leader. The executive mentors have a rich depth of experience that ACE Leaders can draw on to enhance their in-session learnings. Mentors can help participants navigate challenges and opportunities in their own organization, and the many mentorships evolve into lasting professional relationships that extend beyond the program itself.
Hands-On Learning Opportunities
The ACE Leadership prepares emerging leaders to drive outcomes and lead high-performing teams. Sessions are designed to be hands-on and interactive, with participants encouraged to share and workshop real challenges from their own organizations. In addition, ACE Leaders present their path to success at the culmination of the program. The capstone empowers participants to showcase their individual growth plans through presentations to managers, mentors, and MnTech board members.
