General Information

The Minnesota Technology Association is a coalition of more than 250 member companies united in building a stronger tech ecosystem and innovation economy in Minnesota. Formerly known as the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA), the organization works to ensure that Minnesota’s technology-driven companies have access to exceptional talent, dedicated public policy advocates, and part of an innovative, inclusive technology community.

To build a more vibrant, innovative, and inclusive technology ecosystem in Minnesota by enabling the connections, public policies, and partnerships needed to help our tech community thrive.

Our member companies work the spectrum of technology, including IT, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, fintech, agtech, cleantech, and edutech, and range from long-established corporations to small and growing startups. See our current member roster here.

Membership

For information on the benefits of joining MnTech, please visit the Membership Benefits page. Membership is available for companies in Minnesota and rates are based on revenue in the state. If you are interested in joining MnTech, we ask all prospective members to please complete a brief online application.  A MnTech staff member will follow up to complete the registration process.

MnTech gatherings and communities are designed to foster learning and connection in an informal environment. Our engagement efforts prioritize networking and building meaningful relationships, collaborating across positions, companies, and verticals, learning about technology and topics relevant to our ecosystem, and having fun while experiencing new things together. Absolutely. Current MnTech members enjoy a discount on all signature event tickets, but non-members are encouraged and welcome to attend. The only restrictions on events are through our MnTech Communities, many of which require MnTech membership.

There are plenty of ways to help with our signature events or serve on committees for our Community and groups. For more information, you can get in touch with MnTech by emailing info@mntech.org.

Programs and Events

Learn, network, connect and celebrate through MnTech events and programs.   Signature events such as TechTalent (late winter), Tech Connect (late spring), Tekne (late fall), and the CIO Panel (winter) draw hundreds of technologists, business leaders, educators and policy makers annually.  Peer Forums offer unique opportunities to connect with peers on key business topics quarterly.  Our communities of interest offer many other opportunities to engage.  Women Leading in Technology (WLiT) is our largest community—with quarterly networking and educational events. Policy & Advocacy Work

Yes, MnTech advocates for the partners and policies that will have far-reaching, positive impacts on the companies, entrepreneurs, and tech workers that make Minnesota great.

Every year, MnTech works with our members and Government Affairs Committee to develop a Legislative Agenda for the upcoming session. These priorities drive our communication with lawmakers and government officials, and the strength of our membership informs our ability to speak as the voice of the technology community and provide thought leadership.
