The Minnesota Technology Association is delighted to welcome two new members to our team, Adriana Nguyen and Jackie Spiess! In order to accomplish all that we have planned in the year ahead, MnTech is strengthening our capabilities to best serve our members and the wider technology community.

We’re pleased to introduce Adriana Nguyen, MnTech’s new Marketing & Events Manager.

As the Marketing and Events Manager, Adriana will develop and execute the overall marketing strategy for MnTech, manage external communications, plan and produce events in support of MnTech programming, and elevate the organization’s brand awareness, relevance, and reputation amongst members and the broader community.

Adriana just moved back to the Twin Cities to accept this exciting position and be closer to family after a seven-year hiatus in sunny San Diego, where she kickstarted her career as a digital marketer and social media coordinator. She holds a B.S. in hospitality and event management and has an extensive background in restaurant marketing, which she hopes will fuel a unique and creative approach to her new role with MnTech. As co-founder of a local mutual aid organization called Bikes & Bites MPLS, Adriana is extremely passionate about supporting Minneapolis residents directly affected by social injustices, and much of her free time is spent planning Bikes & Bites events, collaborating with other local aid groups, and designing social media content. Adriana is extremely eager to join MnTech and she looks forward to learning, growing, and partnering with the shared goal of bringing diversity and innovation to the local tech ecosystem.

We also look forward to welcoming Jackie Spiess, our new Member Engagement Coordinator.

Jackie is joining the MnTech Tech team with a lot of enthusiasm for innovating and building authentic relationships. As Member Engagement Coordinator, Jackie will will help cultivate and facilitate a vibrant and active member community
by building and stewarding relationships in the Minnesota tech ecosystem and partnering with the Director of
Programs and Member engagement to execute all MnTech programming.

In her previous role with Genesys Works, Jackie served as a Program Coordinator where she led a cohort of 30 students in their IT internships and future planning endeavors. She is excited to continue her work in the blossoming Minnesota tech community and build upon her experiences and connections. Jackie graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then entered the Peace Corps as an education volunteer in Zambia. She is passionate about traveling, supporting the Minnesota Wild, and as of recently, beating Zelda games on her Nintendo Switch.

Keep an eye out for Adriana and Jackie! We look forward to all the contributions they will make towards our continued success in the year ahead.
