The Minnesota Technology Association is pleased to announce that Aleah Vinick has joined MnTech as the Director of Events and Marketing. Aleah comes to us with deep experience in non-profit events, community development and program management. Her most recent work experience was with the University of Minnesota as the Events Director for the Hubbard School of Journalism & Mass Communications in which she managed events and vendors as well as supported the development and execution of marketing and public relations communications.
Earlier in her career as the Young Adult Audience Specialist at the Minnesota Historical Society, Aleah developed and managed programming for teens and young adults. She is proud to have helped launch the Minnesota History Center’s annual celebration of vintage style called Retrorama and to have led a grant-funded exchange with the Palestinian Heritage Museum in Jerusalem.
More recently as the Manager of Donor Events & Programs at the Science Museum of Minnesota, Aleah grew her experience with development and fundraising events, helping to accomplish dramatic increases in event attendance and expand member engagement with the museum, while also managing event rental services.
Aleah is passionate about mission-driven organizations and is excited to lead our efforts to design exciting and memorable events and programs that will delight our members and engage our broad technology community, including Minnesota’s future technologists.
Outside of work, Aleah enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and cat at their home in Powderhorn Park. She also loves traveling to visit family or explore new destinations. From time to time, you can find Aleah at Cooks of Crocus Hill, where she has a side gig teaching baking classes a few times a month.
