Peer Forum: Product Owners & Product Managers

Details

Date:
July 9, 2020
Time:
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Category:

We will use a peer-to-peer format to facilitate networking, learning, collaboration, and a little fun for our product owners and product managers. During this one hour virtual forum, participants will discuss topics that are most top of mind and critical for those working in the product space. Discussion includes (but it is not limited to) the following:

• Product owners go remote: communication and collaboration adjustments, wins/challenges, etc.
• Is there truth to the saying “product owners and software engineers should be in conflict”
• What’s the role of a product owner to drive inclusion and accessibility in tech/ how are you approaching incorporating these conversations into product ownership
• How is the scope of ownership evolving
• Internal versus external products and how it impacts the product owner strategy
•How are you approaching long-term planning and road mapping in the face of COVID-19 and working remotely
• Leveraging and incorporating customer feedback
• Metrics & demonstrating ROI
• Product organization and processes
• Defining product value and producing behavior stories

The first 15 minutes of the forum is driven by two thought leaders from Optum & Target as they share their best practices related to a few of the topics above. The remaining 45 minutes is discussion driven and will be spent in small group breakout rooms so attendees can network, share best practices, ask questions, learn from each other and more. Attendees should come ready to share, learn, and contribute to the peer-to-peer discussion.

All Forum events are by invitation only. Attendance is limited to individuals who are product owners and product managers (or a similar position) within their respective organizations. Please email MnTech’s Director of Community Engagement Jade Denson at jade@mntech.org to request an invitation.
